    It is illegal. This isn't Reddit. This is everywhere. You can just hide away funds in fake companies. Trillions of dollars of tax that was hidden. Could have been used for schools, hospitals etc.

    well i mean DC could also be s-----y since he used his political powers to push stuff...but as far as putin..golf guys...etc, it was just a classic tax avoidance...its not illegal

    It might be legal. But from an ethical viewpoint it is pretty disgusting that world leaders can get away with this.

    it depends on where/who you are mostly...a lot of people in gulf countries would feel "why do i need to pay taxes?"

    now, there is another group of people, that you need to ask "where they got that much money to begin with"...this is now different than the tax issue...people like the iceland guy...people like putin..etc

    saudi guys..qatari guys..are f---ing rich to begin with...they just decided to avoid taxes..which is legal but not really ethical

    honestly people made such a bigger deal than what it is...everyone who work here from the UK and US also do tax avoidance...ppl were just pissed that one bank were doing it for everyone that is rich and famous

    but if i was Messi..wouldnt i go to the best?...panama just happened to be the best at doing this

    Well it is a big deal. Tax avoidance is a major issue. Just because 'everyone does it' doesn't make it ok. Those tax dollars could especially help in the gulf states/ Middle East where the rich poor divide is staggering.

    from a legal standpoint, it is ok tho...its not that i am disagreeing with you about the ethics...but its just how dumb the laws are

    i do think the laws about taxes will change after this
