KMD. Hands down the most overlooked, under-appreciated group in hip-hop. They were dropped from their label weeks after their member, Dj Subroc, died and had their sophomore album shelved for being too overtly political, in both its content and cover art.

KMD was so unfairly overlooked, in fact, its destruction created a super-villain, sworn to take revenge on the industry that wronged him...

They're finally remastering it. The current available version is unfinished, very rough in some places. The rerelease will be out in April I think. Deluxe package includes a pop-up book.

g--- Starr, everyone seemed to forget about them as a group after Guru died, though Premier is obviously still very well known.
The simple fact that there are people who know about PRhyme and not g--- Starr earns them a spot here

Slum Village gets swept under the rug now that I think about it. Their earlier stuff (Baatin, T3 & J Dilla) was great.
