Dec 8, 2017 So dope. This song being as broken up as it is makes me feel he's even more likely structured this album properly. Not just predictable song formats and a clash of sounds next to each other. He probably took a page out of Kendrick's book... Just like the fact everybody could tell WoW was / should be the intro, straight away. It felt like it. I really don't get whoever thinks this is bad. WoW was alright, grew on me a little but my first gut reaction was like 'eh'. My gut reaction to this was 'holy f---'. His lyricism is next level, his flows are dope, the production is top-notch and the hook is amazing. And the subject-matter is great in the way that he tackled it - not just for it being what it is, as the subject-matter, that alone isn't noteworthy... but how he tackled it is. He tackled it in prime Eminem style = take an otherwise serious, social topic and rap about it in a serious, yet comical and clever way. Whilst still being very musical aka not just plain-spoken, literal. Actually attacking it conceptually and with wit. 9/10 Song at the moment. Still replaying.
Dec 8, 2017 2nd part even tho I like it is way too long. Last minute his flow is gone and he just shouts a few lines with pauses in between. Missed opportunity
Dec 8, 2017 Listened to it a good couple of times now. it's alright. first half is better, especially as the second half lasts for too long and his choppy flow starts going all over the place. I can see what he's trying to do, but overall its a missed opportunity.
Dec 8, 2017 I keep replaying the first 20 seconds of the song, sounds like 2002 and is sonically the only redeeming part of this song. First half of the song after that is unlistenable, the rest is OK.
Dec 8, 2017 Yeah, it seems like it's not mixed fully. Either that, or maybe it was a stylistic choice. But especially with the instruments in the back for the second part of the beat, it sounds much quieter than it should be.
Dec 8, 2017 I’m starting to become a fan more than a stan. The problem for me with this track, is that the topic has been done and beat into the ground. The fact that Eminem thinks he is the leader of black lives matter. The fact that he speaks for such a group it’s ridiculous. I don’t know, maybe Obama cut him a check. Who knows? Look, obviously not every police officer is that not every black person is that the percentage is most likely extremely minimal. But the ones that are don’t deserve to be free on either side of the fence. Stop defending criminals as well it’s ridiculous . This is a risky song/subject for him to be talking about especially pushing 50 years old. Yes it’s current and it’s a real subject. But the fact that he thinks he needs to speak on it and make a point and the stand just seems kind of funny to me I do like the fact that it sounds a little bit different. And that it’s a take off of Masta Ace born to roll. But beyond that it’s just an OK track.
Dec 8, 2017 This esp 2nd part first half of that is great but the last minute he starts going all over the place. Why? Could have been better.. but I won't complain he talks about something again and he sounds good on some parts.
Dec 8, 2017 I don’t understand... I thought eminem was white? Gonna give it a few more spins before I can tell if I like or hate it. First listen sounds like a beautiful mess...
Dec 8, 2017 Flows not perfect and production could definitly be touched up. However love the fact there's current content and lyrics are serious and on point. Gave it the safe 7, album expectations climbed a bit for me idk. Was expecting rap god 2 when I saw untouchable was the next single and was pleasantly surprised. This is the style he wants to use going forward and i can live with that. He grew up, its just unfortunate some of his fans havnt.
Dec 8, 2017 I had a feeling he was wearing the old school gold chain for a reason. This had a very old school 80s rap vibe to it. This is his version of f--- the police....it's not perfect, but I love old school hip hop, so I love what he did here. I'm excited for the album.
