    Hello friends. You saw the title before entering the thread, you know what's up.

    I'll start with f.lux, it has made working late at night on projects less of a pain in the a---; basically it changes the colour of your monitor during evening/late night hours so it looks less bright, like you're wearing sun glasses. You can adjust it manually or disable it temporarily for doing colour-sensitive work, or watching movies etc. Late night facebook stalkers will love it.

    Soundswitch is another tool that I find useful, it allows you to alternate between multiple headphones/speakers that you have plugged-in with just a click.

    7-Zip is a good alternative for winrar

    Winamp ftw, it's always reliable
    Recuva is a free software that allows you to recover accidentally deleted files, thanks to this I still have my ex's nudes :kappa:
    Maybe I'll post more later, the first 4 are the ones that I use mostly everyday. Feel free to post yours, whether it's antiviruses or media players or silly tools or whatever. We all may find something useful here :)

    Holy s--- that's dope. Which antivirus do you use mate? I'm satisfied with Microsoft's and haven't had any problems so far but I wouldn't mind trying something else.

    Is this like a defrag/cleaner?

    Premium looks goat indeed. CCleaner is a good free alternative I think.

    @Olorin
    Yea, it's an all in one..it's useful, and better than CCleaner in my view.

    None, don't be a fool and you won't need one. A scan every now and then with malwarebytes is enough

    Never thought of doing that tbh. Always felt like having an antivirus was obligatory lol, but yeah "the best antivirus is common sense"

    Avast is my standard antivirus. Free and powerful.

    Malwarebytes won't root out stuff buried in your system. At best it will get stuff that results from having that stuff in your system. It's usually a single step in removing the really nasty stuff you get without a reliable antivirus.

    Mmm so Malwarebytes is to help you remove stuff that average antiviruses would let through? Like, antivirus is real-time protection / threat deletion and Malwarebytes or similar software is a removal tool? Keep in mind that despite making the OP I'm a noob who hasn't faced problems yet :P and I'm using windows, I'm trying to get familiar with Ubuntu though on my laptop

    @CharlieWork I used to use avast too but it was very aggressive (every time I downloaded a game with torrents it'd delete the crack) and one version of it gave me the blue screen so I got rid of it. The newer versions seem better though and I don't play as much anyway.

    Lol where did the other post go? But yeah, sorry man I won't send nudes xd

    I really like Google Chrome. Loads YouTube really quick and supports 60 FPS. I also like using Combofix and Adwcleaner if my antivirus/malware/spyware, etc, misses s---.
