The US is mostly Christian and so Christians are responsible for like 90% of the crime in our great nation where gun violence eclipses the rest of the world.

This is just sad and scary. A guy I went to high school with was at the concert--he made it out okay.

Weird how these Muslim extremists just so happen to be from the exact areas the US has bombed the s--- out of for decades and destabilized governments in for half a century. Meanwhile India, as heavily Islamic as anywhere in the world, doesn't produce these factions or ideologies.

Regardless, having a discussion about Islam in the wake of this massacre carried out by a white guy just proves my point further.

The Islamic Revolution is what f----- up the middle east, we just poured gasoline into the fire, it wasn't some peaceful utopia before we came.

And it still doesn't change the facts, muslims tend to commit murder in the name of their religion, whites tend to do it because their mentally unstable, and blacks tend to do it over g--- violence. It doesn't mean any of them is less guilty of anything, it's just what it usually is. When's the last time a black kid shot up his school? Exactly.

Also it should be noted that most of the time the victims of terrorist attacks made by radicalists are muslims as well. Not all of the people living in that area are violent, they're normal humans just like us

Convenient how these narratives absolve our leadership and policy makers from wrong doing. Ya know, like the fact that g--- violence runs rampant in segregated, impoverished neighborhoods where the war on drugs has failed for decades on end. Ya know, like gun control being a partisan issue that barely movies an inch either way or our failure to address mental health issues despite the past decade of mass shootings escalating in this country. Ya know, our overt and covert actions that have left entire countries in ruin where violent factions can seize power. None of these need to be addressed if you just blame eternal constants like race, religion, and spontaneous brain illnesses.

I don't understand why you're clutching onto these stereotypes while also agreeing they aren't a helpful framework for understanding and responding to these crises. Even the way you label the actual causes as "underlying factors" when really the demographics are the superficial aspects just speaks to where your headspace is at.

I'm sick. I was up till 4 AM watching the coverage on this, when I finally went to sleep the reports were still only two dead, woke up and now it's 50+. Unreal.
