Oct 8, 2018 Saw it Saturday. Went in with low expectations and tuned out the 90's comic book nerd in me as best as I could. Inner Nerd was basically my Venom irl. The film is not bad if you lower your expectations and disregard the differences with the comic. The best aspect of the film is the interaction between the symbiote and Eddie. Riz Ahmed is a good actor but he was a bit one dimensional in this. Would have liked more Riot scenes and also better CGI on Riot. He was looking a bit funky at times. Spoiler I like the end credit scene but did not like the Spider-Verse end credit scene. I accepted Spider-Man not being in this so seeing a whole scene from the new Spider-Man animated movie was a bit annoying.
Oct 10, 2018 just got back from seeing this. i thought it looked solid based on the trailer, but the actual movie itself was below average to me. there are certain parts i liked, but as a whole i didn't think it was good at all. even the humor didn't do much for me. this movie was just all over the place, and it didn't have any direction
Oct 11, 2018 Well, as not a huge fan of comics, I loved the movie. It was fun to watch the interaction between symbiote and Eddie Brock. Tom Hardy was great...
Oct 14, 2018 Saw this yesterday. Everything felt so rushed in this. Didn’t care for much of it. Spoiler In for Woody Harrelson as Carnage though.
Oct 14, 2018 Tom Hardy did his thing as usual. But they definitely should of kept this a rated R film. And the CGI is absolutely terrible.
