Seems like it's the over hype will effect it. Not a bad listen at all but yes it should have had more rapping and been a little shorter

well, you said it best yourself.

i actually cant remember the exact quote but it was something along the lines of him making music that's easily marketed. to me..his production choice, song structure and his voice all work very well together. his music is enjoyable. not sure how else to explain that.

and it's not even just the music but how strong his presence is outside of the music world that certainly adds to it for sure

Oh definitely. I said that months ago. The hype surrounding this project was going to destroy a lot of people's first listen and just their overall opinion of the album. I'm probably going to end up making my own Views playlist for this album because there's no way I'm going to sit through all 20 tracks every time I play it lol. Not going to do it right away but in a couple weeks, I probably will.

So I just listened to the album and I reckon it's solid. Weak opening but after Hype it's mostly good, and I don't even really like his singing. Some f---ing great production (Hype and Too Good are amazing)

lost my interest after childs play, everything felt like it was meshing into one long song. i really enjoyed u with me, hype, weston, and a few others i can't recall by name. also pop style is much better sans kanye and jay

See @Jet✞ this is what I mean: Why do so many Drake fans talk like this idiot? Why would I be angry about which rich rapper is selling more than the other rich rappers? Surprised by the hate, I really enjoyed it. Then again, I've always been a fan of the mellower Drake tracks so this was right up my alley. Really enjoyed U With Me, Feel No Ways, Redemption, Controlla, and Too Good the most on the first listen. Obviously no groundbreaking lyricism or anything here, but it's just a really sonically pleasing album. Not sure where I'd rank it among his discography, but based on first impressions it'll be in the upper half for sure.
