Most of the artists critics you spend time with can't be lukewarm on that album when its universally acclaimed.

tbh Kendrick's best album is without a doubt tpab, this is his most complete album to date and I doubt vince can even top something like gkmc.

i think we already went over this, nothing before 2010-2008 needs metacritic checking, the amounts of reviews were different...there were like only 3-5 valid reviews back then

also Eminem is obviously an exception to the rule, he was never liked by the critics...his career is different

i dont think you understand how it works...we are not happy because it got 9.6...we are happy because enough legit publishers gave it 10 that avg the score to 9.6

dude this is just a generalization.

how bout we look at this specific case: MBDTF has over DOUBLE the critic reviews, but STILL a higher rating.

MBDTF was made when Kanye was arguably the most hated in his career so f--- off with the Eminem excuses.

MBDTF even has a higher relative user rating (triple the user votes, only .1 less)

point is, EVERYONE should shut the f--- up about metacritic and learn to make their own points tbh

again, saying so dont make it true...i agree that gkmc is better and with time i felt it has the higher quality of the two...but i disagree that the gap is "huge"

tpab is a classic, random poster on the internet saying its not means nothing no matter what distance his body rolls on the floor...we use data..hard data to back up our claims...you can use reviews, impact...word of mouth...or even sales to back up your claims..just any sort of data

tpab got shitload of 10s in magazine such as spin...your word dont mean much

Also, yes there's a huge gap between tpab & gkmc, the latter is definitely not as good as tpab, but its still great.

And Summertime 06 is indeed just a mediocre/above average project
