Jun 18, 2015 whoa whoa whoa Life After Death is almost certainly the best double album, but "only good one" is a bit much. vince's is tied with ugk for the best double album since dipset. unless you count da drought 3. i'm actually working on a feature about the history of the double album right now. for those interested in the album, i think the best song is "norf norf." no i.d.'s fingerprints are all over the album. the latter half of the first disc has beats that could have been on common's last album. that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Jun 18, 2015 Forgot about Underground Kingz, that's a pretty d--- good double album. It's been awhile since I've listened to Diplomatic Immunity or Wu-Tang Forever, but I remember them having a number of skippable songs...will have to revisit those. I'm interested to hear your take on double albums in general when you're finished though. Glad you're singing praises for Summertime 06 because I've been anticipating his debut for awhile.
