Dec 14, 2017 Go to Arose go to 3:36 Everything up to "and if things worsen" is Dee voice raspy probably recovery era Marshall Everything immediately after is modern high pitch no rasp for the remainder of the song
Dec 14, 2017 I completely understand what you're saying you're just wrongly confusing s-----y mixing with vocal splicing and somehow can't grasp how the spliced in "Mathers LP 2, propels me to victory laps" doesn't completely fit in the rhyme scheme. Reco-very/math-ers does fit, because he added it in after. Whatever was there before would have rhymed too. however to continue rhyming with LP2, he had to say propels me to, so he could force the tory-laps to abruptly end the rhyme scheme. The rhyme scheme immediately changes to (forward the past/four minutes as) with no acknowledgement of the LP2/propels me to (interlacing new schemes is Eminem's most common pattern, so why didn't that start with the new line) Mathers also shifts up slightly, and laps shifts down. Open it up in an audio editor, repitch it very high or very low and you can hear it clear as day, or look at the wave lengths.
Dec 14, 2017 not to mention the f---ing line about being about to outdo relapse with recovery only vaguely makes sense with the added line. Makes much more sense since a bout is a fight, and rematch would be the next fight.
Dec 14, 2017 @George Costanza you can honestly tell me on Arose you don't hear the change from raspy deep voice (recovery era) of Castle up to "if things worsen" into the higher pitched modern Em voice??
Dec 14, 2017 its not modern Em, its just the singier version of the recovery flow he sometimes used back then.
Dec 14, 2017 Well, OP is right, there's a slight change, you can catch it if you have good ears (or good headphones). Doesn't necessarily mean it's 7 years old though.
Dec 14, 2017 Its a punch in because the previous vocal is being reused from a different recording. The whole thing is seven years old, very clearly
Dec 14, 2017 Thanks I'm not making a full claim exactly how much older they are from eachother, but I'm convinced it is definitely another vocal cut
Dec 14, 2017 Definitely a new vocal laid on an old song starting at 3:37 on Arose. I'm 100% confident in this If you listen very very closely you can tell his vocal and mannerisms subtely change from that point onward I'm sure the audiophile @DetroitSkills can back me up The mmlp2 line may be a further edit or a punch-in
Dec 14, 2017 Either it new vocal comes in at "if things worsen" Or Mmlp2 is spliced in after recovery Or both It's either the first or the third in my opinion
Dec 14, 2017 Thanks again @George Costanza sorry for mentioning u over and over but people are agreeing with me man, this is forreal It is very subtle
Dec 14, 2017 I hear what you are saying, I just think its still old vocals bro. at the very most its a couple lines patched in after, not the whole rest of the verse. because he definitely spliced in the LP2 line
