Dec 25, 2015 wow i just realized this f---er included monster, which isnt even from this year, and completely forgot beast mode. @Mike Tyson SMFH
Dec 26, 2015 Narsh why do I need to respond to a post where you're effectively agreeing with me? I said song for song it's a wash and you replied as if I said the opposite. 56 Nights DS2 SS1 SS2 Beast Mode Barter 6 edit: though you'll be happy to know I listened to Beast Mode for the first time in awhile and it really clicked with me the other day. I was def underrating it.
Dec 26, 2015 Because there was a lot more to my post than just the song for song comment lol. I addressed the album v album talk too, which you didn't respond to until this post. Sidenote: I was arguing thug wins decisively songs for song, not that it could go either way, because he maintained his consistency of quality over a larger number of tracks but anyways...think u guys are severely overrating ds2. It gets too repetitive in its middle. One of its top 3 tracks is a bonus cut. I'd put all 3 of the tapes above it. Glad beast mode is growing on u..waiting for 56 nights to lose some it's charm now because I think people overrate it tbh Also patiently waiting for u to revist barter 6 down the line and realize I was right there too *fingers crossed*
Dec 26, 2015 I agree that DS2 has lost a bit of its luster, shoulda removed 1-2 songs and put the bonus cuts in place of them. I was thinking of putting Beast Mode at #2 but I'll need to listen to it a bit before I let it jump up that high, lol. Didn't wanna go off a gut reaction that fast. Monster is still my favorite Future tape, unlimited replay value on that for me. I've been on board with B6 since day 1, it's just something I find myself listening to less and less as time goes by. I've revisited it multiple times in the past few weeks though.
Dec 26, 2015 Right I feel the same way about b6 in terms of how often I revist it but when u do actually play it front to back, just how cohesive and versatile it is as an entire project hits u like a ton of bricks. At least for me. Like, it's honestly a way better album than ds2 and u have that so high...lol. Halftime itself is better than all of ds2 aside from maybe perc&stripper joint. happy to hear bm is making moves tho lmao. As far as entire projects go, I think BM is futures most cohesive project, but monster is still probably better yeah. I can't play monster front to back like I can BM tho
