Nov 10, 2017 During the chorus Eminem is heard practicing the start of the next verses and not being happy about it
Nov 10, 2017 That's the only reference I thought of and he was talking about it in the context of that being the album that relaunched his career.
Nov 10, 2017 Yea, I always took it as if he wished he didnt make it because it blew up his career again and put him back in the limelight and since he's a recluse he regretted it, but not in the musical sense.
Nov 10, 2017 yesssss turn on @WPG. the battle royale we've been waiting for since he started listening to slug
Nov 10, 2017 Didn't like it as a single but i think the reason they choose this song is to lower the excpectations for the fans. With all this hype building people have way to high excpections for the album and thats not healthy. Literally playing the sympathy card. Also think the outro gives a sneak peak of the album
Nov 10, 2017 Keep that s--- if you can't properly rap on a beat and need to stop mid sentence every other bar to make things fit. Awkward as f---
Nov 10, 2017 I didn't like the song that much mainly because of the beat, pace and rhythm. However, I'll say it's definitely a teaser/sneak peak for what's yet to come. No expectations and Not hyped. We'll see where this goes.
Nov 10, 2017 LOL sry. I'm very selfish. I like it. It's achingly honest -- actually I pretty much echo what @WPG said about it. Personally, I think it's a question: why now? what's the imperative for an Eminem album in 2017? Hopefully we will get an answer soon (note: my preference is he reserves his vitroil for trump, becoming an "enlightened" working class avatar) it's not peak Em or iconic, it flirts with turf we've seen him on before. Writer's block/grappling with irrelevance can't be an end onto itself. The stan line at the end is wack, unnecessary. chorus is a little boring. i think his voice is fine. flow is a little ehhhhh but ffs how nitpicky can we be lls HI SHADY RECORDS
Nov 10, 2017 I'm convinced he only raps acapellas now and sends them to producers like "put a beat under it" and this is what they come up with.
Nov 10, 2017 He sold over a hundred million records and with streams now I don't think he needs Beyonce to sell
Nov 10, 2017 8/10. I didn't read the other comments, so i apologize if this is repeat. But this song gets an 8/10 mainly because the underlying tone of this song is f--- the critics imo. It also has a subtle diss feel to it, especially those last few lines after the final hook.
