    It goes without saying that he's been a tremendous influence. Incredibly absurd to even assume otherwise.

    Yes of course he was important. The main thing he did was, he made hiphop bigger and more popular all over the world, many people started off as eminemfans and because of him became fans of hiphop in general. I also believe alot of rappers and even other artists was inspired by him in his prime.

    Musically? I don't see a big difference.

    However, he brought in a s--- ton of fans.

    Most fans of hip hop from RB, SL and this site came from being a fan of Eminem first, but most of them branched out into other areas of hip hop and realized there are much better artists than him.

    50 was pretty much blackballed after columbia, no one wanted to touch him because of his rep and had to record in canada. He was just putting out mixtapes not sure why people think he had tons of offers
