stop lying, you are ALWAYS talking s--- about cops...this is not the first time...you cant show respect in general because your father never respected you, and your mother made you feel unwanted so this is your way of reflecting that to the world...you need to learn to show respect or one day some respect will be slapped into you

Bad, naive opinion. Not denying the "wrong sorts of people" sign up to serve, but @Koolo is (generally lol) right there needs to be a broader conversation about what being a police officer is actually like.

It's not that easy. When your life is in danger all you can think is how do I stop this person and the easiest way is a chest shot since most cops aren't crack marksmen. @FINESSING said the training should be more rigorous, but that's impractical as you have to rely on the local average populace, because I've seen firsthand what happens when they bring in outside trained contractors, and they're total power tripping dickheads with no connection to the community.

My brother is becoming a nyc cop. he gonna have a target on his back the minute he puts on that uniform. Don't provoke a police officer in any way and chances are nothing bad will happen. They are normal people who have a job and want to return to their families like everyone else. Fire them doesn't solve anything. You need quality officers with the right credentials and backgrounds

They are trained to s---t to k---. In the unfortunate event that an officer is discharging their gun because their life or someone else's life is in danger, they are NOT taking the chance of "shooting them in the leg". Someone will end up dead and it won't be the criminal.

Cop-civilian interaction and the mismanagement of their behavior and practices on both sides is a complex issue that won't be solved by saying "f--- cops they need to be perfect superhumans that no what to do on every situation" or "you shouldn't be doing anything illegal always concede to the laws no matter what". Both are idiotic and over simplified approaches to the issue.
