Jul 5, 2016 Don't care. Don't think it's worth it tbh. I've still got all the classic games I care about anyway. Just haven't had time to sit down and play it for years. I've still got zelda, both banjos, mario kart, super smash, super mario etc. That s----s priceless
Jul 5, 2016 I never played it i haven't had a console really for years but i know this guy who literally f---in wanked over that s---. He told me he cried at the end. I don't even really know what the games about but peoples reaction to it turned me off
Jul 5, 2016 The Last Of Us is great and you should totally play it. It's absolutely not even close to being as good as it's fans will tell you it is and probably wouldn't even make my top 3 of that year, but it's a solid 8/10 and worth your time
Jul 5, 2016 how so??? top end graphics flawless mechanics excellent story (with a weak last quarter or so, but this is common in video games and movies) critically acclaimed, unique multiplayer that people play to this day also what games do you are better from that year a top 3 game only 8/10 though? odd ranking system imo
Jul 6, 2016 >"top end graphics" >console nah sorry, PC would have had better graphics on multiple games at the same time. though last of us still had pretty great art direction and great graphics overall. >flawless mechanics nope. Sorry, but having to find and place a piece of fucken s--- ladder after every clicker/mob encounter was kinda really f---ing stupid as s---. would of preferred an arcade style "LEVEL COMPLETE!" >excellent story i dunno. i guess. I just found it pretty cliche. the only difference was instead of a zombie story it's literally "ok cut out all the zombies and replace them with fungus infected not-zombies" It's not like the twist (if you can call it that) at the end was some kind of mind blowing discovery, it was just sorta there/happened. It's seemed pretty predictable/obvious too (i'm not saying that from the moment i started - i knew the ending, but as the story unfolds you kinda see whats going to happen next)
Jul 6, 2016 Basically what Bobo said. It is a very pretty game but what isn't these days. The mechanics are solid, I guess, but they're not utilised very well, "find which wall to place ladder against" is not a puzzle. I also wouldn't exactly call the story excellent, it has an amazing opening and then never really lives up to it, the rest is just so much standard zombie media fare (inb4 "they're not zombies", yes they are), Ellie is the only decent character, I don't give a s--- about Joel and everyone else is either killed off or put on a bus before I could form any kind of opinion about them. As for what games I liked more from that year, I had more fun with BioShock Infinite, GTA5 and Metal Gear Rising than I did with TLOU. It's also really weird that fans take this game so seriously that they'd find me saying "Great game you should spend money on it, don't know if it's the best game ever though" offensive
Jul 6, 2016 yeah last of us isnt really that great got boring so i couldnt even finish it same with fallout 4 and witcher 3 they needa make games like they used to back in the n64 days, paper mario was lit
Jul 6, 2016 I personally had a connection to the game..it helped me cope with my brothers death 2 years ago. The game is about loss, heartbreak, tragedy, and eventual "redemption". Of course some people are going to have different opinions on the game, that goes for all games really. like for example certain people would put Max Payne, Red Dead Redemption, etc in their top 10, but I wouldn't.
