Mar 12, 2015 Came across this band about a year ago and this album's been in steady rotation since. So good.
Mar 14, 2015 mid-90s alternative / alt-country This album really grew on me over the past several months
Mar 14, 2015 Technically, To p---- A Butterfly. Even though we only got 3 records from it that's what i'm spinnin'.
Mar 14, 2015 A History Of Now, by Asian Dub Foundation. This british dnb collective experiments with elements from various music styles as they move from one track to another and utilise a plethora of instruments, to create a very messy and at times hard-hitting record with mainly political content and some brilliant lyrics. It might sound overwhelming at first but after you let it sink in, you'll enjoy it and get fired up, like they did when they recorded this. Great album, I found out about her last year when she released Ruins. You should check that out if you haven't already, but I prefer this one ^^^ Her other stuff must be nice too, I have some random songs in a folder but not another full project. I like her vocals, melancholic like the music.
Mar 14, 2015 I picked her out on a whim. A little too slow for me to be an active listener so it wound up being more of background noise. Not a bad thing, just hard for me to pay attention for long stretches.
Mar 14, 2015 Yeah man I hear you, she's often in the rotation when I'm studying, along with other slow stuff like Balmorhea and Industries of the Blind if you need to sleep. Saltillo, Forest Swords etc are more interesting and more trippy
