Apr 4, 2025 @Worm Finished season 1 of Lost yesterday. Honestly only started watching it because u called it From's 'big brother' and I'm glad u did. But imo, aside from some obvious comparisons, its way different. The main reason I started watching From is because it seemed more horror. The ghosts/zombies, creepy town, whereas the sypnosis for Lost is just a plane crashing on an empty island. From also really started the way it was promised, but imo the later seasons spent way too much time on drama and fighting than on the actual myths of the town. Also there's not much background to the characters, a thing that Lost does perfectly! They show flashbacks to all major characters and also the way some already crossed paths before. I like that. But aside from some weird and unexplainable s---, season 1 of Lost isn't exactly supernatural. Yes it gets weirder during the season; but its still a group of survivors on an island; where From is a bunch of people that can't escape a normal town full of monsters. Also S1 of Lost, the balance between the group dynamic, the personal stories and revealing the island mysteries (or at least people looking for them) is perfect. From has waaaay to much childish fights, pointless arguing and zero collaboration. But it seems like the next season will be more focussed on the actual problems so it can get v interesting. The overal conclusion is that the group of people on the island is more mature than the group of people in the town lol. And knowing their stories also helps to care more. I absolutely loved S1. But yeah, I know it has like 5 more seasons, so they can't keep doing this for the whole time. Already read in non spoiler versions of reviews that the future seasons involve time travel, alternate universes and s--- lmao. I honestly can't say I'm excited about that after liking S1 so much but then again...... Dark also started as a child abduction show and look how that changed. It's my favorite NF show OAT probably. Locke is a badass btw like his character. The dynamic between Sawyer and Kate also, they are gonna f--- for sure lmao (don't tell me pls). Boone was such a fa----, not sad that he died. His 'sister' as much as I like Maggie Grace can also f--- off. Jin / Sun are cool. I really like the fat guys link to the numbers, interesting storyline curious what they mean. 'Sheriff Boyle' a.k.a. Michael also interesting the story with his son. Sayid is also another badass. I hope we get to see the girl from the flashbacks w Jack again (the latina girl) she was hot af. Gonna start S2 now wish me luck!
Apr 4, 2025 Also @Worm I was gonna make a comment about the fact that after months (?) they still look so clean, shaved etc. But they were all on vacation so I guess they got supplies for a while. And then I saw the french woman, 16 years later still having the whitest teeth (do they sell toothbrushes on the island) and being in good shape. Kinda strange to me lol.
Apr 4, 2025 d--- wish I could watch Lost for the 1st time again. The flashbacks really make the show. A lot of shows are heavily influenced by Lost like Dark.
