Oct 28, 2015 Recently MGS5, despite how much fun I had with it. The gameplay was amazing, but the plot was weak and the ending made me want to k--- myself.
Oct 28, 2015 Turns out there was an entire mission that was supposed to bring the ending to a proper close but they scrapped it for some reason
Oct 28, 2015 This x100000 Weak a--- story and multiplayer was just dudes lunge knifing from a mile away
Oct 28, 2015 It didnt stopme from loving it though if that makes sense :drake: i got really good where i can drop a nuke every3 games or so
Oct 28, 2015 Yeah I watched the beta version of it a while back. I think a lot of stuff was cut, the whole second act of the game feels very thrown together
Oct 29, 2015 Oh lord... where to start? Well 1st of all there is no story, battles are useless, the battle system is terrible, no level up system. The game isn't hard, it just expects you know exactly what to do, how to do it and when to do it. So if its your 1st PM game then go ahead, but,if you played the 1st two games then stay far away
Oct 30, 2015 disappointing, felt like the trailers were very misleading. We got like 1 good fight scene between Chief and Locke. I hated seeing Cortona as the antagonist, yet again. And I don't want to see her again in the supposed "Halo 6". The story was alright though, just didn't feel that "thing" like I did with all other Halo's. I hate the AI Squad s---, because they're stupid as f--- - although beneficial at times. I just didn't really LIKE LIKE this game.
Oct 30, 2015 I've been switching sides about it for a while. The MGS-fan part of me knows this isn't "it" it's different, it's not that same sort of MGS feel. Not only that, but this was meant to "bring the game series full circle" when in reality we just get a single explanation for Big Boss' "death" in MG1... I'm disappointed in that aspect. But fast forward to now and thinking back on the game, it's weird. It's like if I were to look at JUST chapter 1, without any MGS fan hopes/expectations and just played it as a game, I don't think a singleplayer experience in any game ever, could top that. and although I agree that Chapter 2 seemed rushed/sloppily thrown together, the gameplay kind of saves it, just because the gameplay is so amazing. As far as video games go, imo, MGSV is an artistic masterpiece, even though it may be a little rough around the edges.
Oct 30, 2015 Ah, I actually liked this campaign over 4's. The plot in 4 was cool but the gameplay felt so repetitive, plug Cortana in, defend, move on, repeat. Only was a bit annoying at times as well too. DMR sh---ed on the BR the first few months and 343 waited too long to address the balancing issues. I agree on the deceptive campaigning though, there was no solo Chief action or Locke vs Chief rivalry for the most part =\ The AI squad was cool but it does take away from the urgency to stay alive in the harder difficulties since your squad can revive you anyway. Overall though I liked the campaign better, the gameplay felt more varied than it did in 4 and seeing Sanghelios was a dream come true for me lol. Haven't played much online yet but Arena seems balanced and Warzone is cool but it's a clusterfuck. Idk how n----s get BRs so quick while I'm stuck with a pistol the whole game -_-
Oct 30, 2015 Honestly, weird pacing issues in chapter 2 aside, I was ready to call it the best game in the series right up to the final mission, but the ending left such a bad taste in my mouth that it soured the whole game for me. The twist makes the story almost completely redundant in the grand scheme of the series, and all of the relevant events (Big Boss establishing Outer Heaven) happen off screen. As a game in the face value sense, it's a masterpiece, but it really misses the mark as a finale.
Oct 30, 2015 So much missed potential with Gray Fox/Big Boss/Solid/Liquid story arcs just before MGS1. Which you can sorta see was going on with the Eli thing... (It's rumored that Kojima was pushing for 5 chapters before Konami jumped in with their s---)
