    Holy s---. I never realized Screw laid verses. I’ve heard this song too but my dumb a--- never realized that was him rapping.

    I need to revisit all those albums and mixtapes from the 90s. Fat Pat, Big Moe, Big Hawk, 5th Ward Boyz, etc. Whenever I go that far back, I just listen to the classic songs. I need to do a dive into the deeper album cuts from back then. There are probably so many hidden gems I’m missing out on.

    Have you come across any other songs where he raps? Not gonna lie, he sounds pretty good for a DJ!

Man, this makes me wanna roll up a blunt and go driving around Houston getting blazed. And I don’t even really smoke any more. But this s--- always puts me in the mood haha

    So funny you posted this cause I came here to post the same thing. I’ve had this s--- on repeats for days. After @Sav Stanfield Mos Def reviews, I’ve been stuck bumping all the old Rawkus Records albums from the late 90s, early 2000s. Mos Def, Talib, Pharoah, the lyricist lounge tapes, the soundbombing tapes, etc. I’ve been on a crazy nostalgia trip.

    Way way back in the day I listened to this song constantly on my old Sony discman during class. Nate Dogg kills this hook too.
