May 10, 2015 Im just lmao @ all the utterly mundane reasons people think Kanye is a "terrible person" Like for f---s sake, he's terrible because he doesn't smile? He's terrible because he likes fashion more than you like his music? He's terrible because he's been a d-ck a few times? Jesus Christ lp, you'd think he r---d 100 little girls and b---- slapped Betty White or something with the way some of you talk about him. And if you actually paid attention to the interviews where he only talks about fashion, there's so much more to it than just him being entitled and demanding a spot in that industry or whatever you think is going on.
May 10, 2015 ok n-----, El-p aint s--- technically compared to modern Eminem. El-p (whether on the Run the Jewels s--- or Cancer 4 Cure/ISWYD) is not on Eminem's level as far as rapping goes.
May 10, 2015 Besides he's production I couldn't come with a logical conclusion as to why he's even considered a great.
May 10, 2015 my bae? n----- stop. this isn't even an opinionated position i'm taking. Eminem, if you set his lyrics out and studied the structures of where the syllables and words are placed according to the minute details of the beat, it outshines El-P's technical ability by far. Without placing value on the quality of the music, objectively, the structure in which the lyrics are composed can be broken down and a level of complexity can actually be measured. El-P's flow is monotonous at times, his tone is similar on nearly every track, and rarely does he utilize a variety of writing techniques ( see alliteration, word association, inverse multisyllabic schemes, pitching and pronunciation techniques, breath control, double/triple entendres, homophones, etc.) nearly to the extent that Eminem consistently does. This isn't some stanning bs; you can sit down and break both artist's verses down and study them - you will come to the same conclusion. Sorry Eminem isn't as incoherent as you wish he was.
May 10, 2015 MBDTF i can understand, i think he hit his pinnacle on that album.. Everything before and after was a---. weak lyricist
May 10, 2015 What makes The College Dropout weak? Or Late Registration? And "after" is just watch the throne, which is good, and yeezus which was polarizing
May 11, 2015 His passion. It seeps into everything he does, whether it be his production, fashion, music in general, and just living. His passion is his greatest asset (and sometimes his tragic flaw, like with Taylor Swift and some of his interviews). But his passion for life and getting everything out of it is what makes Kanye so special, in my opinion.
May 11, 2015 kanye west is in the position he is in solely because he took the eminem approach of being a controversial figure of our society he managed to do it better in modern time because of our cultural changes this era with social media and celebrity status eminem was just a crazy white boy rapper , kanye is a largely hated narcissistic rapper that frequently makes waves with media because of this he has stayed relevant
May 11, 2015 Mix of delivery, bars, and mainly his ego/personality. I don't think he'd be considered as good as he is if he didn't say he was the best, imo.
