Jan 6, 2016 Kendrick will flop with his next album... people saying 50 flopped in his era are just plainly dumb. How can you flop when you are made a superstar?
Jan 6, 2016 DMX would get vine-famous and become OG Maco 2.0 If 50 came correct with his GRODT s---, or if we're assuming they were born later and he had an ear for modern 808 mafia type beats, he'd be Future-status Or should I say Astronaut Status I love Kanye and think he's one of the best OAT but this is by far not his era, his music hardly impacts the radios or the street-level musicians
Jan 6, 2016 I mean Waka Flocka is pretty much a contemporary DMX so idk about that shouting delivery over trap beats catch on pretty quickly, if OG Maco could meme his way to relevancy with it I'm sure DMX could go even further
Jan 6, 2016 I doubt it, Dude didn't even flop with an album that wasn't made for the masses (this is an incredible achievement in itself) and his next album is probably gonna be mainstream.
Jan 6, 2016 Give credit to Maco where credit is due he flawlessly executes his own brand of punk rap and can be lyrical as a mf'er DMX is more like the old spice guy with his delivery than waka or maco, but his s--- has more accessibility than the formers solo catalogue
Jan 6, 2016 But look how overhyped his album is/was... in a few years time my guess is that people will realize that TPAB is just an average album, i'm not hating on him either, i like GKMC.
Jan 6, 2016 I mean DMX would probably have more impact today because he'd open up a pop lane for the (in this scenario) pioneers like Waka and Maco to bring heavy s--- to the masses. d--- I wish this was a thing.
Jan 6, 2016 what are they supposed to realize? If anything, they will probably realize that it is being praised for legit reasons. Some haters are already starting to praise it as a goat album and they couldn't f--- with it few months ago, all it takes was them listening to more music. Don't blame other people for having enough musical knowledge on genres such as jazz and funk just because you don't know s--- about it. There's no way you can call tpab an average album if you're over 25 and familiar with jazz, soul and funk music. I'm sorry but I have to blame your lack of musical knowledge on this one. Either this or you're a close minded guy who been listening to the same album for the past 10 years and still doesn't know music existed before the 90s.
Jan 6, 2016 I admit i hate jazz and that was a major part of me not liking the album. I think i like 3 or 4 cuts from the project, the album wasn't for me and imo i do think that in a few years it won't be held in such a high regard, i guess we will just have to wait and see how that goes.
Jan 6, 2016 bruh dont bother saying your opinion about tpab here unless its "goat album 10/10 would marry" you only gonna get called out for not knowing s--- about jazz and get roasted
Jan 6, 2016 Knowing the history behind a genre provides insight no matter the genre or speific work, your (and half of kendrick sxns argument) works for literally any other album mentioned. The jazz is impressive but you and all the other kendickriders are basically saying "yah but the beat go hard af"
Jan 6, 2016 thanks for proving my point. And the fact that you don't like jazz also proves you probably don't know this genre at all, which isn't a crime, but you should understand that tpab isn't gonna get less praise, you would know why if you weren't such a jazz hater. Also, I'm sorry to tell you but more and more people are praising it, more and more artists, musicians, critics and co.
Jan 6, 2016 @mystiK is on point tpab started at #70 on these all times lists, then it cracked the top 50 and few weeks ago I saw it being named in the top 5 of all time on some lists 5 years from now it will be #1 or #2
