Jul 27, 2016 But don't you think a lot of people gravitate towards Trump because he is something DIFFERENT and he's saying things outside the "norm" for a politician...they don't like the direction our country is heading, and even though Trump is a wild card, he's NOT the same old bs...
Jul 27, 2016 Can I ask you, specifically, what you don't like about "the direction our country is heading"? What policies do you oppose? Which are Obama's? Which are the result of Republicans holding both houses of Congress, 31 governors mansions, and a majority of statehouses? Hillary Clinton advocates continuing and expanding the progress of the Obama years--Obama is currently one of the most popular public figures in America--and is supremely qualified. Trump is a bumbling moron who doesn't understand how the federal government works. Doesn't know what Hamas is.
Jul 27, 2016 Well the first thing that comes to mind is ISIS and the fact that liberals tend to not take them seriously...Obama once famously called them the "JV Squad", and John Kerry just said air conditioners are more dangerous (I can't make that s--- up)...I know there are a lot of different opinions on how to handle them, and I think it was you that posted the article about them losing footing in the middle east, but a lot of Americans feel like Obama (and Hillary) are completely living in a fantasy land and don't see them for the threat they are... Trump's statements are over the top, but I like the fact that he's willing to SAY "Islamic Terrorism" and seems determined to tackle it head on
Jul 27, 2016 What does this have to do with Obama? More importantly, what's your response to the fact that we've now pushed back ISIS to the point where they've lost territory every month for the last 13 and could very soon control zero major cities? The attacks in Europe have been horrifying and need to be stopped, but they're acts of desperation from a losing army. I mean, you understand why a Secretary of State would say this, right? It's the administration being responsible--it's the opposite of fear mongering. No one living in America is in imminent danger because of ISIS. Uh, yeah, because lots of Americans are dumb as f--- and have been manipulated by the cartoon rhetoric from Trump, Gingrich et al. The latter goes on stage at his party's convention and says Americans are going to be "forced to convert by the sword"--that ISIS will come to America, overthrow all branches of the military, the national guard, police, fire, whatever; the federal, state, and local governments; and indoctrinate Americans under the threat of death. Does that sound realistic to you? The fact that Trump ranting and raving about Muslims--and promising to ban them from entering the country--convinces you he's "determined to tackle it head on" is frankly kind of pathetic. Do you know the first thing about the current state of military operations against ISIS? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...fact-why-obama-wont-label-isis-islamic-extre/
Jul 27, 2016 The liberal dominated media has gone pretty light on Hillary while finding any reason to trash trump
Jul 27, 2016 Oh what's this? A Harvard study that concludes the coverage of Hillary Clinton is disproportionately negative? http://nymag.com/thecut/2016/06/med...nymag.com's+Fashion+Blog+-+New+York+Magazine)
Jul 27, 2016 First of all, labeling every single thing Trump says as "fear mongering" is way too easy...behind some of that over the top bs is A LOT of truth, but everyone immediately screams "RACIST" and thinks he's trying to scare everyone without actually listening to the message. Maybe it's possible we should be a little scared?? Liberals live in this fantasy world where everyone just needs to hold hands and love each other and all the problems will just disappear...that is not reality...that is not how the world or this country works... trying to justify some stupid f--- saying that air conditioners are more of a threat than ISIS...I mean, come on man...I don't care WHY he said it, what kind of fool would say something like that in the times that we're living in right now...
Jul 27, 2016 If you are trying to say that the coverage on Trump hasn't been hilariously negative, think again. They have both been hit hard by the media for good reason.
Jul 27, 2016 First of all, remember when I asked you for specifics as to what you dislike about American policy right now, and you dodged? Then I asked about what you'd change re: our military engagement with ISIS, and you dodged? I think you're in over your head. Okay, why don't you pick any of those preposterous gaffes I cited at the beginning of this thread, and explain to me the sound message behind them? Furthermore, how is--for example--Gingrich's RNC speech not fear mongering? I'm scared of the police killing people I know, not really scared of ISIS. Sure, there are dumb people who believe that. But there's no way you can paint Clinton that way, and Clinton's running, not a flower child from your freshman dorm. You mean...........the secretary of state?
Jul 27, 2016 WPG: "What, specifically, do you find wrong with the Obama administration?" This guy: "They don't take ISIS seriously" WPG: "Well, they've ramped up military engagement twentyfold and are consistently defeating them abroad" This guy: "But we should be scared! They're going to k--- us. Also, stop fear mongering!" I don't know how some people can navigate their computer to this website
Jul 27, 2016 i will beat ur a---: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/media-study-trump-helped-clinton-hurt-224300 http://www.vox.com/2016/4/15/11410160/hillary-clinton-media-bernie-sanders http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/16/u...mps-mammoth-advantage-in-free-media.html?_r=0
Jul 27, 2016 These weird Trumpophiles always talk about "liberals" being so "sensitive" and having "emotions" yet absolutely cower in the face of anything resembling a fact, lol. It's all gut feeling and weird antipathy.
Jul 27, 2016 I am in (slightly) over my head and I'm at work, so that's a bad combination for getting thorough...but yes I think John Kerry, Secretary of State, is an idiot for saying something like that?? Is it impossible that a Secretary of State could be a moron?? Also the fact that you are more concerned with cops killing blacks than a global threat like ISIS is hilarious to me and just something that we'll never agree on...
Jul 27, 2016 "blacks" But yes I'm frankly more concerned with the police killings thousands of Americans than ISIS killing zero
Jul 27, 2016 Hey, i'm not really getting involved here, but the US is pretty d--- far from asia. Isis is more of a problem in europe than it is america
Jul 27, 2016 but let's say there was a huge terrorist attack and thousands of Americans died...would it change anything at all about your feelings or would you just chalk it up to a losing organization lashing out?? At what point do we see them for the very real threat they are and launch an offensive to completely wipe them out?
