It really isn't. I can't go to the doctor and be diagnosed with a case of the hillbillies. My argument is that incest is akin to smoking, you're intentionally inflicting a higher risk on your child whenever it can easily be prevented. Once you have diabetes you can't just decide you don't have it, so you make do with what youve got and roll the dice.

Loving your cousin isn't the problem, just adopt a child. My only issue is putting a baby in danger when it can be easily prevented. Diabetes is preventable but not in the same nature as "not c-mming into your cousin"
