I believe in God, never doubted, but I don't go to church every Sunday

tbh I'm not a... fan of my religion as organization

I think it depends on the believer, not the religion.

It's interesting to learn about as it's been present in culture throughout human history. As far as placing a value judgement on it, idk. The people who study it the most probably wouldn't even approach it that way. Not very meaningful. Also calls into questions whether religious ideas shape culture or culture shapes religious ideas.

No, I don't personally have any faith, but people still learn about Greek mythology and what not despite not believing in it. You don't have to believe in genies to read Arabian Nights. You don't have to be a Christian to enjoy Kendrick Lamar's music or Terence Malick's movies.

    it's pretty garbage all around.

It causes a lot of issues the world over, always has and always will... and concepts like "faith" are just ridiculous. As if believing something simply makes it be true, especially when there's nothing but evidence stacked against it, and it fails to survive simple critical thinking.

nonsensical belief systems are not things that should be encouraged or accepted as valid and we shouldn't coddle the people that follow them

religion keeps a lot of people from trying to actually achieve something with their lives, so for that, i am thankful for it

otherwise, it is a bunch of rubbish that causes a lot of world conflict and hate

I'm not remotely religious and never have been, but I dont feel any type of way about it. People can believe in whatever god they want, never understood the mindset of getting irrationally angry at people because they're Christian or whatever. What faith people practice in their own time is nothing to do with me.

Using religion as a free pass to spread hate and prejudice is trash tho

    Religion itself is a problem
Being spiritual and the concept of deism isn't

Im all for religion if it helps people deal with their problems and live an easier life.
For as many issues as religion itself has influenced, who's to say that we'd be better off as a race without it.

It's easy to blame everything on religion I think that's a copout and lazy way to think about things. We hear about bad things surrounding religion but never good things because generally only bad things make the news

By the way when people say "the world is so evil why doesn't god do anything" do you think god is meant to control us like he's playing GTA or something? It's free will in any case

Personally I'm not religious I feel like I've never been desperate or poor enough to look to some higher power to help me and I've never been rich or happy enough to thank some higher power for my blessings. I feel like I've been too busy to ever have the time to think about that s---. That being said religion is so deeply and culturally ingrained that I do religious things without thinking about it. I believe in the prophets and what they stood for but I stop short at god and the creation of the universe. Anything goes at that point and it's useless to speculate about it
