Jul 18, 2018 It wasn't at the time of its release but people now tout it as one of the most influential rap albums of all time, which I would consider a form of acclaim.
Jul 18, 2018 I've seen @dna hits call MBDTF "overrated on this forum" so many times now it's like his catchphrase Um sir, have you ever talked to anyone about Kanye or hip hop in general outside of sxn80? Because I got news for you
Jul 18, 2018 oh, influential yes, absolutely but influence isnt exactly the first quality to take to account when talking about best rap albums (as far as ive heard from the opinions in here?) but i believe 808s is the greatest album even without the influence
Jul 18, 2018 In their primes (as a rapper): Eminem > Wayne > Drake > Kanye Overall (as a rapper): Wayne > Eminem > Drake > Kanye In their primes (as an artist): Kanye > Drake > Eminem > Wayne Overall (as an artist): Kanye > Drake > Wayne > Eminem
Jul 18, 2018 The rapper/artist comparison is not only stupid, but untrue. On Kanye’s first two albums + MBDTF his “pure rapping” ability rivals Waynes
Jul 18, 2018 eminem isnt that great of a rapper and his skill in it isnt why he was so booming hes like a pizza with masta ace being the base/dough with controversiality being the major topping
Jul 18, 2018 Artistry ≠ Rapping, therefore the comparison is valid. Wayne's technical ability from 2004-2008 was better than almost every rapper. Even now, D6 had some crazy rhyme schemes. Wayne > Kanye in terms of pure rapping ability. Kanye is a much better artist though. Actually, now that I think about it, Eminem was a better artist than Wayne in his prime. I'm going to go back and change that.
Jul 18, 2018 In his prime, Eminem was one of the most, if not the most, technically proficient rappers to have ever graced the earth. But don't believe me, believe Kool G Rap, Rakim, and countless other extremely well-respected rappers
Jul 18, 2018 I was explaining why the comparison was valid. That wasn't a response to his claim of Kanye's rapping on his first two albums + MBDTF > Wayne's rapping.
Jul 18, 2018 also lol at @dna hits vanishing after @Big Cuntry didnt back his sorry a--- up ya im drunk im not usually in an arguing mood on a forum
Jul 18, 2018 Lmao imagine saying the guy who spit “we ain’t going nowhere we got suits & cases” isn’t a great rapper
Jul 18, 2018 lol no he wasnt, lets be honest, people never listened to eminem as a kid and be like "holy s--- look at these rhyme schemes how technical is that!!!!!!!?!?!!?" and "look at how skilled that verse is!!!!!!!!!!" also who wants to count syllables when talking about music
Jul 18, 2018 You're right. People listened to him because he made good music. His technical proficiency was a bonus.
Jul 18, 2018 not really.... first of all, what does "technical rapping" even stand for? second of all, id rather say people listened to him because of the unique way people took him as(white+shock value=controversial) he was more of an item of pop culture rather than a rapper
