Aug 4, 2015 http://thedailyera.com/kanye-west-copyrights-the-e-minor-chord/ Kanye West has recorded the E minor chord on its own as a 10 second song on his new album. This means that anyone wanting to use the E minor chord now has to request permission from Mr West. In a statement released last week he said the following: “I, Kanye West, now own the E minor chord. Any motherf**ker that uses it without permission will get sued and thoroughly told off.” E minor cannot be used in live performances either, as Thomas Reeve found out when he played an open mic in Texas last Tuesday. “Well, things were going swimmingly until I strummed E minor, suddenly I got bustled off the stage by 2 security guards. They got me in a chokehold and gave me a $500 dollar fine.” The 10-second tune, which is titled ‘E Minor’, is strummed out on a guitar by a session musician and although we haven’t yet heard it, we are told that it is one of West’s most melancholy and honest pieces, apparently written for his wife, Kim Kardashian. A spokesperson at Kanye’s record company released this statement. “It doesn’t matter if you play a piano, a guitar or the bagpipes, if you record E minor without our permission, or if you dare to use it live, then you are breaking copyright laws. Kanye worked very hard on the song and if you rip it off, or sample it then you will be prosecuted.” Claims that Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has been listening to every song on YouTube to sue for every E minor ever recorded in popular music have been dismissed by West himself as ‘mental’. He added that Kim has hardly been allowed to use the internet since nearly breaking it earlier this year with her gigantic buttocks. As we went to print, fears were growing that the super producer may end up copyrighting every chord, thus owning all of music. We wait with baited breath. If this is true...
