So a slightly more detailed answer...

I spend the vast majority of my disposable income on savings. Cash savings, stocks & shares, bonds etc. I'm heavily focused on being able to retire early and also setting my children up for financial success.

Secondly a have a savings account just for holidays (vacations). We try to do one luxurious holiday a year and a couple of shorter ones. Luxurious tends to be a 2 week cruise. Shorter ones tend to be a staycation like a cottage in Devon or something like that and a week or 2 seeing family on Poland.

After that comes beer! But not crazy amounts. £100 a month probably on keeping the fridge topped up with "relaxing beer" and being able to keep trying beers I've never had before.

I'd love to say that this pandemic has helped me save more £££ because I haven't been able to spend money on holidays or socialising in general but I've now officially been off work more than I've been working over the last 12 months. I'm lucky to still have my job waiting for me when we return to normal and the Government is paying 80% of my wage but that missing 20% was basically my disposable income. Everything I earn now is just for day-to-day living. For the most part anyway.

Can't wait to get back to work properly so I can have cash again to plan something to look forward to!

For me the opposite is the case. I don't buy any clothes now because I like to try them on and not order them online. I bought a shitload of books and mangas tho. I guess that's my new money burner
