Jan 13, 2015 "Not a huge Kanye fan" yet you say 7 flawless albums? LOL this thread is proof that Kanye is mad overrated.
Jan 13, 2015 Do you honestly not respect what Kanye has done in his musical career, even if you don't like him as an artist that much?
Jan 13, 2015 I actually said "7 almost-flawless" albums you stupid c----. He's not over-rated either. Name ANY other rapper that has released 6 albums in a row that don't have a major decline in quality. go. prove he's mad over rated you dickhead. go.
Jan 13, 2015 Probably number 1. Ye is getting dangerously close to overtaking him tho. The only other 2 who are close to the #1 spot for me are Nas and Ghostface, and I don't really see them moving further up in my mind (Nas might even drop back a few spots as time goes on). I'd definitely consider Biggie as being better.. but unfortunately he just doesn't have the catalogue for me to justify it.
Jan 13, 2015 Your jimmies are pretty rustled for not being a big Kanye fan. Listen, Kanye's albums in my opinion are all mediocre, his lyrics are average at best, and lyrics make the rap artist, not the production, if you can't write a real song, then you are not a real artist in my eyes. Alot of people I know dislike his s--- too, he's nothing more than your average rapper trying to get a deal, difference is that he got one.
Jan 13, 2015 This is such a dumb post on so many levels. Even if Kanye was a poor lyricist (he isn't), you can't completely discount production...especially when an artist produces his own s--- too. It wouldn't be a song if there was no production.
Jan 13, 2015 ... LOL you're one of those dickheads that spams youtube with comments like; "d---, miss REAL hip-hop" "YEAH this is REAL hip-hop none of that mainstream garbage" "finally some REAL rap, none of that lil wayne s--- xD!" aren't you? f---ing idiot. that goes for anyone else that thinks they listen to "real hip-hop" pull your heads out of your arse for f---s sake, pretentious c----.
Jan 13, 2015 Maybe I should have worded it differently. I'm not discounting production, but lyrics matter more when it comes to the heart of the song.
Jan 13, 2015 lol I'm not one of those guys but if you think mainstream hip-hop today is better than the 90's early 2000's mainstream hip-hop then you're a f---ing moron.
Jan 13, 2015 I disagree, personally. I can't really weigh lyrics more than the production. Both of them matter to me when listening to music.
Jan 13, 2015 A rappers lyrics, and the way he/she flows to a beat sometimes makes you feel the beat more than if you just heard the instrumental. I write my own s---, and sometimes a hear a beat and I'm like "Nah, that s----s whack" then I hear another artist on it, and I'm like "Wah that sounds dope!"
Jan 14, 2015 If Kanye's next album is a classic and jay's average Kanye might take the nr 1 spot. If they're equal or Jay is better he stays number one
