Jul 15, 2021 h--- no… you can lose up to an hour of hard f---ing slogging lmao. The pain of not trekking back to the fire before fighting a boss is legendary. I’ve nearly smashed my PlayStation up a plethora of times over the souls games lol. Finished em all barring the dlc for 3. 3 is awesome btw, the best in the series with Bloodborne. You can’t pause those games neither which makes it even more suspenseful.
Jul 15, 2021 Glad you're enjoying them! I have to admit, I tend to play games to get immersed in the story. I don't enjoy the hard difficult settings and online games because there's either no story or it gets annoying! FF7r was the exception but that's because I was so invested in the game I needed to get the platinum trophy!
Jul 15, 2021 I play games to get immersed in the story as well, but I also like it to feel like there are stakes. The tomb raider games on hard weren't too difficult but they were hard enough to add stakes so that's really all I need!
Jul 15, 2021 Fair enough! I'm not ashamed to admit I'm quite fond of the "easy" setting! I get frustrated too easily!
Jul 15, 2021 Nah no shame at all! That's why I like customizable difficulty settings like in the third one where you can separately adjust exploration, puzzles, and combat. Cuz then you can enjoy the game no matter how you like playing.
Jul 15, 2021 So far Rise is my fav, but I’m not far enough into Shadow to know for sure. I’m into cults, islands, and lost cities so I like all three stories so far—plus the beginning of Shadow takes place on Cozumel which I spent a lot of time on when I was in Mexico lol
Jul 16, 2021 Rise was my favourite as well. It was fully fleshed out by that point and the atmosphere was great. Shadow was good as well but wasn't so well received. I don't think it deserved the reception it got at all though.
Jul 16, 2021 I vaguely heard that people didn't like Shadow but I didn't look into it cuz I didn't wanna go in with preconceived notions. So far I don't really see where the hate comes from. It feels like a natural progression but of course I'll wait to judge until I finish it lol.
Jul 16, 2021 Just back into playing Genshin Impact on my phone. Amazing free console level game. And I play Pokémon TCG online every day for years.
Jul 16, 2021 Yeah that's what I thought, I don't get where it came from really. I remember it took me longer to finish it so it felt a bit more of a slog but that was more because I was in the process of going back to work after being off for months. Anyway, enjoy! I'll look forward to your thoughts when it's all done!
Jul 20, 2021 Yo idk if you still remember but where should I go after beating Rom? I got teleported to yahar’gul but it’s too hard and I keep getting killed by the 3 hunters. Nightmare realm is relatively easier but I keep getting poisoned and end up wasting blood vials. Any other paths I’m missing here?
Jul 20, 2021 I basically only play 2K. The recent one's been a joke though, it's just a copy/paste basically beta version of the prior due to COVID f---ing the season but also the release of next gen (which PS5s specifically bordering on a myth).
Jul 20, 2021 So anyone got any good recommendations for PS5 games? Actual PS5 games, not just suped up PS4 games. I'm very impressed with the PS5 so far, it's so fast. Just doesn't seem like much choice out there to properly showcase it.
Jul 20, 2021 I noticed that recently when I had a look, now that a mate got one and it seems half-realistic of obtaining. I feel like they're holding back until they're actually properly obtainable/on shelves basically. I only really wanted one ASAP because I paid for the last 2K which gave you the PS5 version pre-loaded not realising it'd end up being a borderline myth but now that that game is almost out of date now I'm not in as much of a rush.
Jul 20, 2021 It’s been like 4 or 5 years since last playing Bloodborne lol but I highly recommend this guide These guys are great. When I got stuck I always went to a guide for help, paperback guides are available also… I used that guide pretty much 60% all the way through. Ended up with 80% completion… only way to get the platinum is by replaying the whole game and finishing it again, way too stressful imo ha.
Jul 20, 2021 Half way through that as I type this. Guess I'll upgrade my FF7r copy next and then at the Yuffie DLC.
