The president didn't utter the terms "white nationalism" or "white supremacy" once in his statement. If this were a terrorist attack by a Muslim man, he would have no issue saying "radical Islamic terrorism." He can't upset his voter base though.

They're extremists & I don't necessarily agree with all their techniques, I more or less support their cause. I can understand why people wouldn't like them because they have a tendency to be violent but at the same time, it's typically directed at the right people. I'm not mad if an antifa protestor punches a nazi in the face. We use to give medals to people who beat up nazis. All extremist groups are controversial though I mean look at the black panthers.

There is right and wrong. Groups like BLM stand for a noble cause, fighting for equality. There are people within that organization that commit violence but that's not representative as the organization as a whole (nor is it what the organization preaches). That's all the media shows because that's what gets clicks & views. No one wants to watch a peaceful protest. There is no "good neo-nazis" or "good KKK members." They are all equally bad people with disgusting views that should be spoken out against. Not to mention these groups have a history of violence and genocide. It's apples and oranges.

People of Virginia voted to take down a confederate statue which is symbolic of racism/civil war. White supremacy groups decided to go protest the removal of the statue arguing that the government is erasing their white heritage. These guys came to protest the statue in riot gear & armed with sticks/bats/guns etc. This eventually led to clashes among these white supremacists and people protesting them.
