My point was that you have to give proper credit to artists like Jay-Z and Nas who've remained extremely consistent throughout their 20+ years of rapping compared to someone who's career lasted 5 years and ended in their prime. You completely lost me here lol. Since when does popularity dictate the quality of an artist? Slug has put out tons of quality music that's better than anything Wayne has done. Not to mention Slug's worst music is no where near as bad as Wayne's worst. Slug's just an overall more consistent artist and that's pretty much set in stone lol. I can't think of any reasonable argument that could suggest otherwise. When there's a big chunk of an artist's fan base that blindly praises them as being the GOAT and untouchable when they're not as untouchable as they make him out to seem than yes, that makes the artist overrated. He's being highly rated based on blind praise.
Jan 15, 2016 NAS!!! Often highly regarded as one of the more sophistocated high quality rappers, when in reality he dropped one good album only, and has a few memorable tracks in 20+ years.
