Apr 18, 2017 Hate to join in on the bandwagon but Cole. I f--- with a lot of his songs, but no way he's on par with Kendrick by any measure.
Apr 18, 2017 No doubt. I actually enjoy a good J. Cole record (I trash talk him a lot but most of the time it's just for the lolz), but the amount of people that put him next to Kendrick...nahhhh.
Apr 18, 2017 and the thing is, 4YEO just needed a few tracks gone and replaced with False Prophets, Everybody Dies and High for Hours. He has all the tools but he f----- up heavy.
Apr 18, 2017 Yeah true if u cut out half the album and replaced it with his pre album hype tracks that album would be hot as s--- but instead it puts me to sleep
Apr 18, 2017 100% agree songs dropped before and after the project were better than majority of 4yeo if not all of it
Apr 18, 2017 I don't know how Foldin' Clothes, one of like 3 f---ing love songs, made it on there but High for Hours didn't
Apr 18, 2017 most influential oat but overrated skill wise (also music aged badly but all 80s music did)
Apr 18, 2017 Music aged awfully, I'll give you that. But you gotta look at his skill contextually. Compare his rhyme schemes with the typical 80s rhyme scheme - the Fresh Prince rhyme scheme. He's not just influential, he's revolutionary imo.
