Yep, I agree.. I have high hopes..

I feel everyone was doubting the skins from day one..and they proved everyone wrong thus far (but they still get hate)

I'd be happy with this win over the pack tbh

I have a feeling Seattle will take it again this year but I want the Patriots to win it again.

Well, they also were benefitted from having a really terrible division... But, you can't choose what division you're in, and they did enough to make it.

Giants are a testament to that. Any team can put it together right now. Every team in the playoffs are pretty much capable of going on a run for a title.

The Vikings or Houston is who I'd bet against though, but who knows. This is the first year that I feel there's no real clear cut favorite in either conference.

I just want Goodell to hand Brady his fifth Lombardi award. It'd be so bitter sweet.

I feel like the Panthers have a better chance than most people are giving them and feel the cardinals have a worse chance than most people are giving them.

Don't have much to back that up, just kinda how i feel. I also don't trust Denver cuz their shaky QB situation. In no order the 3 most likely are probably the Pats, Panthers and Hawks imo.

I do think that Seattle is the Vikings toughest match up in the NFC so if they can beat them, they could technically make the super bowl. Although i feel they're still too inconsistent and not quite ready for that yet.

But we will see, it should be a very interesting playoffs. I don't think there's a clear cut obvious favorite or anything.

I'd just like to remind people of how accurate my super bowl prediction was last year lol

That and I know 49er fans will be pissed seeing Brady get a 5th ring lol

It really all depends on the Pats O-Line and if they can figure it out in 2 weeks.

Getting back Edelman is going to be big, because Brady can dump it off fast, and negate the pass rush by opposing defenses.

Our defense is definitely good enough to win us games, especially now that everyone is healthy. Chung and McCourtey being back to full health will be huge for the secondary.

I think Steven Jackson definitely has enough in the tank to help us too. But, it just depends on if the passing attack can get teams off of the line of scrimmage to aid the offensive line. It really depends on Vollmer though. If we have him, then it helps the interior part of our offensive line, which will help the run blocking.

Pats at full health will be the team to beat though, I truly believe that. But, I still question if they'll be at full health.

Hoping Denver wins. But I think it will be the Pats or Panthers.

Man that would be an awesome story if Brady won it. Pretty sure five rings would tie him with Charles Haley for the most ever by any player.

I honestly feel that one of the elite defenses in the NFC will force Newton to throw, and will contain him in the pocket. Newton is a run first QB. Can he throw in the pocket? Sure, but it's after he establishes himself as a runner.

AZ is more trust worthy to me, because they run a more traditional offense, they have playmakers outside, a solid running game and an elite defense. The Panthers REALLY rely on Cam to produce in the running game AND passing game. Sure, it proves that he is this season's MVP, but the success of the Panthers truly relies on his success, unlike the Cardinals, where they can beat you in various ways.

Seattle, on the other hand, is a lot different. Not only do they have the experience, but Wilson has definitely elevated his QB play. Granted, Wilson can scramble, but what has separated him this season was the fact that he adjusted to being a pocket passer, primarily. In the Super Bowl against the Patriots, Belichick had the same gameplan defensively against Russell, that I guarantee most teams will have against Cam. Contain, contain, contain.

I truly don't believe in the Panthers. I know they beat the Seahawks earlier this year, but that was an injured team, and Wilson was not playing well. Otherwise, I can't recall any other great defenses they faced.

If you really look at the quality of their opponents' defenses? It's really bad.

Bucs twice, Falcons twice, Saints twice, Packers, Giants, Jags, Texans, Colts, Titans (OK), Redskins (good), Cowboys, Eagles...

Can they move the ball on defenses like Seattle or AZ? And not only that, can they compete with their offenses? I don't have much confidence in them to do that.

In saying that, AZ hasn't faced any real juggernauts either.

I can see Seattle going into Carolina and absolutely destroying them, punching them in the mouth, and treating them like rag dolls, though.

there are a number of teams (like 4-6) that i'm pretty confident won't win it ALL.

so, after eliminating those, i'll go with the pittsburgh steelers. i'm definitely going out on the limb because the steelers barely made the playoffs. they needed help to get in. plus they've had a lot of injuries and their defense is shaky. but they've got a QB who's done it before and i like the teams they're matched up against, assuming they can get past the bengals, which i'm not confident about.

this is obviously a tough thing to pick---but if the steelers defense can step up---i think they can do it

@Fitz are the Pats injured players mostly supposed to be okay for the playoff run? If so they're still the favorites imo.

    Yeah they have everyone back.

They were holding out everyone in the last few weeks, which was really weird because Belichick never does that.

They haven't been at full health since before the Giants game.

The only players they aren't getting back are Blount, Dion Lewis and Nate Solder.

I don't really understand what Belichick was doing the last few weeks though. At times he was really conservative, then out of nowhere, he'd get aggressive. He was the same way with managing these injuries.
