    no, especially because the "college freshman-y" attitude we're talking about here is the one where kendrick lamar's work has more worth by virtue of being a "concept album" as opposed to "trap rap".

    (for the record, saying something "isn't dickensian" is hardly drawing long comparisons to charles dickens. that and "orwellian" are just adjectives at this point.)

    i mean, realistically, Tha Tour is better than any single album wayne was on. i still don't know if thug's 2013-15 is better than wayne's 2006-08, but it might be.

    Saying something isn't dickensian is just as bad because then it's essentially "hey I get Dickens and want to off handedly mention it by pointing out how irrelevant it is to the topic at hand" which is totally college freshman material
