Oct 29, 2016 Because it's less enjoyable to watch, It's significantly less accessible, hardly relevant outside of the US, and has less resources and viewership being pumped into it for development. It also has (alot) less variety whereas 'soccer' can branch of into things such as futsal or freestyle, and it also has less variety in terms of general skill-sets. Last but not least, there is less variety in personalities that play the sport. And when i say this i mean both off the pitch and on it. There is alot more to experience by watching futbol. And this was a horrible answer : Because by that logic very few people would watch boxing, or athletics.
