Jul 25, 2016 Yeah the albums was great, but idk if biggie could have delivered some more albums equal to them...
Jul 25, 2016 they're both GOATs, but imo, Kanye and Nas are the two best of all time for completely different reasons.
Jul 25, 2016 Can you explain your reason? Nas is also my all time favourite and I think he's the Goat, but I don't think nas and kanye are similar tbh in rapping style. So what are the different reasons.
Jul 25, 2016 I don't think Kanye is anything like Nas, but in my opinion, there has never been a more transparent rapper in terms of stream of consciousness setting the framework for almost every verse. Kanye never boxed himself in, and took more artistic risks from one album to the next than many artists take their entire careers (see, J. Cole, Drake or even some of my favourites ever like Fabolous and 50 Cent). I couldn't ever make an argument that from a technical standpoint, Kanye is even in the top 100 of all time, but I have never cared about a rapper's technical ability, only the final product. Examples of what I mean (stream of consciousness being the backbone of a verse) are:
Jul 25, 2016 And Nas, at 42, will still make me reconsider how I evaluate "good" rap after I hear a verse from him. Just an incredible artist, falling off is a foreign concept to him.
Jul 25, 2016 Life is Good was a the perfect album for him to create at this stage of career. He couldn't have done it any better.
Jul 25, 2016 They made some quality music. The feeling i get when listening to Pac rap with all his energy and Biggie with his flawless story telling, is hard to get nowadays.
Jul 25, 2016 Biggie, becuase he's actually one of the best rappers OAT. Tupac, mainly because of biggie and some dorks that think making a mediocre-bad album in 7 days means something.
Jul 25, 2016 Yeah man I like kanye alot too. He's definitely one of the best artist in hip hop of all time. Yeah same for me and nas is also pushing himself forward. I have a feeling we are getting a trap influenced album from him based on the trap like snippet from nas album done-new dj khaled album. And also an example of a great trap nas is his March madness remix (check it out if you haven't heard it)
Jul 25, 2016 Meh, from what I've bothered to listen to biggie is a better rapper technically than 2Pac, but frankly, i have never found any enjoyment listening to any of Biggie's songs. His flow is smooth and he isn't bad at storytelling but apart from that I've never found much dynamism, energy or creativity in his songs. He also lacks variety and while his R&B fusion is a little unique. It really does nothing to me since i hardly listen to R&B. His flow does nothing to me and his lyrics aren't bad, but they aren't really groundbreaking or special. And he does very little to keep my attention. Pac wasn't very technically impressive, but was a little more personal and convicted in his songs . He's also much more varied and dynamic than Big. And while i'm hardly a Pac fan i found his songs alot more enjoyable. Neither of them are better than nas or eminem imo.
