Feb 25, 2015 Let me break it down for you. All I wanted to know was which specific tracks you think are actually as good/better than his old material
Feb 25, 2015 my darling the warning legacy right for me there are I'm sure others by smaller margins too
Feb 25, 2015 I reckon the "new" influenced you in some way, which is why you typed all that..so I'll take ya word for it, because I won't read all that.
Feb 25, 2015 Deja Vu is the best song he's ever done. Seduction. Bad Guy. Evil Twin. Even songs like Space Bound and My Mom I tend to listen to more than a lot of his older stuff.
Feb 25, 2015 Amazing, congratulations man. On both the victory and your child on the way. I'm amazed people in this thread could say anything negative...immaturity I guess.
Feb 25, 2015 Music is always better if you can relate to it. I agree with that 100%. The music em made pre 05 was his best and most of us can agree but to each his own. We can identify with different songs with different points in our life and i will say this not many artists appeal to these like eminem does. Thats probably why i enjoy his music more than any other artist.
Feb 25, 2015 Wow that could possibly be the best thing ive ever read on this forum. Congrats on kicking the habit and changing your life around dude. Truly awesome. I can actually relate to this story. I was bullied all through school and had an abusive stepfather all around the time his first 3 albums dropped. Seriously those albums were like therapy to me. I said in another thread that if I was angry upset depressed or even suicidal, I would throw on one of those albums and it would fix me and allow me to escape. He will always be my favorite artist of all time for getting me through all that s---. I honestly dont think I could relate to the first verse of sing for the moment more. So yeah I feel ya on this story bruh. Thanks for the read!
Feb 25, 2015 The fact that people are still coming into this thread just to say "Eminem is s---" disgusts me. That's not really the point of what he's saying. He's saying that current Eminem helped him get over an addiction. Go spew hate elsewhere.
Feb 25, 2015 Congrats man that's awesome. I've never had such bad problems, but Eminem has always been a very relatable artist. New em isnt as good as old em in my eyes, but he's much better than 99% of this forum gives credit for. Great post!
Feb 26, 2015 yes when I listen to those tracks now and others like them I get upset that he couldn't get through a single bar without slurring or leaning on the beat when I listen to the warning, legacy, right for me, etc it's the complete opposite. slim is hella confident in his facts, his delivery fluctuates appropriately with the emotion of what he's saying and the instrumental is just that, an instrumental and not just a foundation for yet another droning acid trip. and don't even get me started on the rhyming. vanilla ice/the beans and rice vs I pounce you on a rhyme/about to draw the line? no contest
