Sep 8, 2016 Even if we were to consider for free a bad song (which it isn't since it's might be kendrick's most interesting track, musically speaking,) gkmc literally has 3 bad songs
Sep 8, 2016 In what sense is it basic? O.o Consider the way the verses are written and then constructed to compose the song, it's great tbh and is more creative than about souls outro imo
Sep 8, 2016 I guess the beat is just a simple loop maybe that's what you mean. I suppose I put more emphasis on writing than music with hip hop albums. I tend to care about them more tho
Sep 8, 2016 Tpab is a lot stronger to me, it was much more thick in texture, be it sound or thought imo With that being said, they both excel in different ways. from a critical standpoint, it's pretty easy to see why tpab is better but most rap fans would probably gravitate towards gkmc more as it is easier to digest.
Sep 8, 2016 With kendrick, you just get this clear sense of knowing exactly which direction he wanted to take the albums in. I just didn't get that vibe while listening to gkmc, it might be my least favorite kendrick "album"
Sep 8, 2016 if long haired saxophone playing hipsters ever had an album that belonged to them it's TPAB.
Sep 8, 2016 no I love backseat dude, probably one of my favorite kendrick songs. I was referring to Real and Compton. I also don't like Poetic justice that much but I wouldn't call it bad
Sep 8, 2016 First, let me say that sxn80 is my favorite kendrick project. Regarding tpab (vs gkmc), I just feel like kendrick worked harder on the instrumentation and the lyrics that he put forth. I can feel the emotion in every word and it seems more calculated that Good Kid Maad City and has such a wide range of sounds. Definitely more dense and personal than Good kid. The best thing about tpab though is the production, which is why we also have to give credits to his producers. But like someone said before, Tpab would be like the underground champion and gkmc the mainstream champ
Sep 8, 2016 @Koolo @BigCountry @Ordinary Joel Do we really need proof via ip to ban besky alts? I mean this is getting ridiculous

Sep 8, 2016 Because it's all preferences. TPAB is the type of albums I constantly find new stuff to appreciate. I like GKMC but it doesn't have replay value for me and I don't know why...back in the day it would have been pretty high on my list but now I'm pretty much done with conventional rap albums. I'm more into Tpab, The Roots, Danny Brown type of music
Sep 8, 2016 gkmc is obviously better, but somehow people have a hard time admitting it. I wonder all those hipsters how often they play TPAB. I bumped gkmc at least one year straight after its release. When I listened to TPAB i knew something wasnt right aka NO REPLAY VALUE.
