Oct 21, 2015 I understand where this comes from because he doesn't have the same glossy spark that is very popular in Hip-Hop atm... Like with Trap... new innovative artists like Future and Young Thug etc. I'd definitely accredit at least some of the "boring" tag to that. I enjoy his music though... especially when in the right mood for it. Easy listening and very chilled out. Nearly always has that great laid back production too.

Cole has plenty of charisma and has made tons of great hooks (Can't Get Enough, Light's Please, God's Gift, 03 Adolescence, No Role Models) and that's just a few off the top of my head. He doesn't have awful production by any stretch of the imagination. He has a certain sound, and maybe the tag comes from rapping on his beats like 90% of the time. My only complaint about his music is he doesn't use many producers as he should.

Oct 24, 2015 I think the thing about Cole is that if you don't like him now, you're probably never going to. He has some songs that I absolutely love, but I just can't get behind any of his full projects. I tried really hard to like FHD because I like the production a lot. I see why it's appealing to so many people. But Cole fails to keep me interested for 12 songs.
Oct 27, 2015 I guess since he doesn't use trap beats, scream like a r-----....among other things, he's 'boring'. n----s too concerned with turning up. I've only heard my cousin say he doesn't like his voice, well I don't like Thuggers voice so all is right with the world. Cole's music is solid.

Nov 7, 2015 His subject matter is often corny and not really that intelligent or deep. His beats are often really bland and traditional. His persona doesn't match mine and his vibe comes of to me as "i'm better than these other rappers". I'm prolly wrong on a lot of these but that's how i feel... If you add it all up, it's a not so original producer with tame lyrics for me.
