Dec 3, 2015 Drake & Future, Kanye West & Jay Z, Eminem & Royce, Royce & Premo. It's been done a lotta times. But beside the Kanye/Jay Z it's been a long time since a collab album has been hyped for several years.
Dec 3, 2015 When it comes to delivery, flow, energy, & emotional power behind the lyrics, i think Kendrick will come out on top, & i think those qualities are more appropriate "renegade" qualities than Coles qualities. Cole has his qualities too (storytelling, metaphors, etc.) but i don't think those qualities will help Cole hold his own against Kendrick. In short, yeah i think Kendrick will renegade him.
Dec 3, 2015 @able I differentiate between Emcees and rappers. Future is not an MC. Kanye, that's debatable. Would you consider Royce mainstream though ? I'm just really excited what it's gonna sound like.
Dec 3, 2015 If you really differentiate, then it's debatable, of course. Royce himself isn't too mainstream, but project with Promo reached a lotta people and (at least) memorable when you think about collab albums. Do you consider him mainstream? Same here bro, it feels so special and unreal at the same time. February will be a more than interesting month (underexagerated).
Dec 3, 2015 @able Not really sure, bro. I feel like only people who are into Hip Hop know Royce. If I asked a random friend of mine or a random girl, they would have no idea. Yep, but only if they don't postpone it regularly like Street King Immortal By the way, I feel like (random) girls are the ideal measure to determine what is maisntream and what not.
Dec 3, 2015 Chill man, they're cool people. Let them do them, a lot of them post outside of that thread anyways.
Dec 3, 2015 lolll a lot of them never come out of that thread.. and why be easy on them when we've been giving Em stans a hard time for being onedimensional?
Dec 3, 2015 Cause we ain't tryna sip on tha haterade Most of that group is from JCN anyways and there was already a thread about it. They mostly came to s80 to keep in touch with each other. Besides you can't blame them, some of the stuff we say/do is pretty weird
Dec 3, 2015 It's really strange considering they make up such a large part of the site... but i guess i also would've rather been in a place with my Ye stans if that meant less Drake and Em threads
Dec 3, 2015 What I'm anticipating the most from this project are great concepts and conscious commentary both things K. Dot & J. Snore excel at. Let this project actually be an actual collaboration rather than one rapper clearly being in odd territory, think Outkast/Mobb Deep than WATTBA
Dec 3, 2015 Kendrick once said in a interview " the album with me & cole its not about who going to k--- who its not a competition type thing just enjoy the music " or something like that i just summarized it
Dec 3, 2015 i think it was just a warning not to choose that path in life he adresses that song multiple times in gkmc and tpab
