Apr 26, 2016 future also has the biggest rap artist in the world (5 years and counting) propelling at least a part of his commercial success
Apr 26, 2016 Sir Elton is definitely a nice co-sign but I don't think that affects his breakout potential unless they drop a song together or something. Wayne literally didn't miss for 5 years. Really hard to put into words the type of impact he had in the mid-late 2000s. The Future comparison is legit, he came into the mainstream with Tony Montana in 2011 and a bunch of other big singles after that, so I'd consider his stardom now as more of a slow build than a 2nd peak.
Apr 26, 2016 elton already sent thug the Rocket Man instrumental and thug already made a song to it. and Im talking about in the long run. When thug reaches the level @Mike Tyson accurately predicted, you know what he can do that wayne cant? make more music with people like Elton who see something special in his flamboyance, let alone his talent as a vocalist.
Apr 26, 2016 Wayne's peak was arguably the most popular rapper ever aside from Eminem in the early 2000s. How do you not remember Wayne's peak? I'm pretty sure we're the same age so we were in eighth grade when C3 came out @Narsh
Apr 26, 2016 thug WILL be a cultural icon far greater than anyone in this thread is suggesting. definitely feel free to hit me up in 10 years to be like "god f---ing d--- it narsh i hate u but wow were u right"
Apr 26, 2016 easy argument to make lmao so far, because elton has co-signed thugger, he's going to be bigger than the biggest rap artist of all time
Apr 26, 2016 no, i said because thug is clearly more versatile than his peers his ceiling is a lot higher than you guys are suggesting
Apr 26, 2016 i don't know, but i know for a fact that drake is one and we all know what weight that holds to n----s like narsh
Apr 26, 2016 and as this decade progresses judging success by sales and other s--- becomes less and less valid...its just about becoming an icon and a staple of the culture. which i know you know thug can be. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=cultural+icon
Apr 26, 2016 This would require Thug to become an album artist. If he puts aside all the PrefixThuggin tapes, ICFN4 and whatever other mixtapes he has planned to focus solely on HiTunes, then it's possible.
Apr 26, 2016 drake is deff a cultural icon. and if someone as bland as him can become one just wait for thugger to break out!!
