I mean if I was attacked by a sword and survived, I'd have a hella scar that would be a fun story. A bullet scar, not so much.

With getting shot, a much smaller object is penetrating your skin. Although it would burn worse, shock usually sets in harder from gunshot wounds than stabbings. With a stabbing, it's a larger piece of metal getting shoved in your body, and then there's the process of pulling it back out, and its a lot more personal and uncomfortable both physically and emotionally
