Jul 17, 2018 This & the All Eyez On Me review are great, especially for those that are trying to learn the context behind those records. It certainly had the greatest long-term influence between Louisiana rappers inheriting part of Juve's flow & Mannie setting the blueprint for Southern producers, but I'd still take Aquemini any day over it
Jul 17, 2018 Great writeup, and I'd definitely say it's probably the album from that year with the most influence, but I'd be lying if I said I return to it that often. If I'm picking only one rap album from 98 to listen to, it's probably Black Star.
