May 20, 2015cool, good job! not sure you're using "deterrent" correctly but it's in the ballpark.
eminem was incredibly skilled at rhyming words. for a brief time, he was also really funny. furthermore, at his best, he could do pretty crushing personal stuff, at least in small doses. but it didn't translate into that much great music. the first two albums show a tremendous amount of skill; neither is a masterpiece. then he got really corny and forgot how to rap and/or make songs. even at his best, there are entire songs where he loses the plot so to speak and isn't really worth indulging. i'm thinking of the way i am in particular on that last point.
if i were reviewing the albums this year, it'd be something like:
sslp and mmlp: 7.5
eminem show: 6.8
encore: 5.0
relapse: 5.5
recovery: 2.0
mmlp2: 4.5
am i forgetting anything?

I don't see how anybody can think MMLP2 is not his worst album.
Bad Guy- Cloggin toilets backin s--- up
Rhyme or Reason- Talking in that Star Trek voice
So Much Better- Oink Oink Oink Doink Doink Doink
Legacy- Whole 3rd verse
Survival- Entire song
a------- Gaping a------
Berzerk- Sadly the best song on the album but he's still talking about toe jam and God knows what on that second verse. Oh,not to mention a Ren and Stimpy reference in 2013.
Rap God- Another okay song but there's that whole "Gay looking boy" bit
Brainless- He's a pain in the anus
Stronger Than I Was- LMAO. Come on.
The Monster- Yo Da Le He Hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Far.... LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Love Game- Off the top of my head I can't remember any blatantly embarrassing lines but still an otherwise MEH song all the way around
Headlight- He's talking about his Mom and out of nowhere starts rambling about dressing up as Santa Clause and climbing down chimneys.
Evil Twin- Again no really embarrassing lines but is it anything more than MEH??? No.
d--- near every song on this piece of s--- had an embarrassing, cringe-worthy line. Not a single redeeming thing on this album.
Encore had Like Toy Soldiers, Never Enough(s----s ON THIS ENTIRE ALBUM), Spend Some Time, Encore(the song)
Relapse had My Mom, Deja Vu and h--- even Hello
Recovery had Talking 2 Myself, GTC, Seduction, Spacebound
MMLP2 had NOTHING. What exactly am I missing?cmmn.sns, Mikey, Nuredin B and 1 other person like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

It's ok that you discovered the f---ing Roots 2 months ago (I'm not talking about em's next album, stans), I was one of the few members that said to not give you s--- because of that, after all we're all here to discuss and find out more music
It's not ok to say that no rapper can come close to eminem, and it's disrespectful and r-----ed to say that f---ing mmlp is among the best records of all time across all genres. You don't even know s--- about rap, and you dare say s--- like this and expect to be taken seriously? f--- offDKC, Ordinary Joel and Narsh like this. -
