basically this but it took me till i was like 17 to grow out of that mindset, so we gotta give @Young Sinatra a few years. Especially since he isnt really the type to take feedback from other posters too well

hed sooner call someone a "hipster" etc than realize that they have a point :idk:

"Recognized" and "I think it's one of the best records OAT across all genres" are not the same.

there's gotta be some reason why dealing with people like @Young Sinatra turns even the nicest posters to this ^

People thought it was just WPG being a d-ck (which it was because as he's said hes purposefully being short with people), then people ignored all I did to try and have discussions with posters like this and labeled me an a------ for insulting them....but its literally a trend.

You have your friendly neighborhood spider man telling you to k--- yourself, YOURE the problem tbh

I didn't mention TES, I said at less one Eminem record.

    Take, MMLP:

most of those were just for hip hop, but yea you're right, two of them were for "all genres." but most recent "all genres of all time" list was almost 10 years ago though. do you still think any Em album would be in the talks nowadays?

If he doesn't keep killing his legacy I don't see why not, just like Aquemini or Illmatic MMLP and TES are timeless records ahead of their time. I bet that at less like 50% of the people listening to Hip Hop was introduced with Eminem.

You're kind of wrong tho, nothing is ever set in stone. That's the mentality you need to change. Everything's reevaluated like daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.

Aquemini and Illmatic pass the bar every time they're questioned, Em's albums have 100% not held up in the same way and it will probably get worse for them as more time passes

SSLP, MMLP & TES made the history of music of early 00' and none can change that..:snoop:

no Im saying in general. For something to timeless it should be repeatedly evaluated as time goes on. Dont take it so literal.

And I never denied the cultural impact of this first three albums..?

    irony

first of all, i'm willing to bet that you've listened to MAYBE a quarter of the albums from which i pulled songs. second, find me these songs worse than say what you say.

all i make is one phone call

"wait, hold on, i didnt mean he made better music, just that he had more skillz!"

yes, of course, i am. just because eminem could rhyme a bunch of syllables doesn't mean he's a more "skilled" rapper than e-40.

well, uh, every single rapper in my post of songs.

the eminem show is a melodramatic mess marketed to angsty teenagers who thought they were too edgy for trl. two thirds of the beats sound like they were made on a nokia flip phone. but yes, it's a better album than illmatic and ridin dirty.

saying something over and over again doesn't make it true. explain to me how any of em's first three albums are better than muddy waters, or aquemini, or the diary, or soul food, etc etc etc.

listening to an eminem record is not exactly splitting the atom

he's literally one of the most famous humans. i think he's doing fine in the recognition department.

"no artist in the history of a genre i've been listening to can touch eminem. you're arrogant!"

@reservoirGod out of genuine curiosity what albums get the most rotation from you now
