Iraq now is much more of a shithole than it was with Saddam (see Islamic State),the West didnt give a s--- about Iraqi people happines - oil and territory it's what is all about. They basically destroyed the country, and left all the radical islamists groups free to do what they want to - like Libya or Afganistan. How is this a discussion when u even have Hillary Clinton admitting publicly that they armed the Talibans, (only to win the pulse against the Russians)

Lol @ you sitting behind your computer in a western country talking about Iraq, a state that was founded on Ba'athism which is basically fascism. Please, you most likely don't even know the history of Iraq or any of the other countries you've mentioned. USA or not the country would've fell apart just like it has done due to sectarianism and tribalism, it's hilarious how you blame it all on the US. "They" didn't destroy the country, sectarianism and ba'athism did. What does arming the Taliban have to do with any of this?

Which groups are free to do whatever they want to? Before the Islamists we had Saddam and his ba'athist officers going around gassing and torturing people, people disappearing because of their belief and much more. Do you think that this is any better? Do you think that Iraq was some kind of beacon of light in the middle east? You obviously have no idea what Iraq was like before the rise of ISIS. You obviously have no knowledge about the mass graves, or any other ISIS-esque methods that the Iraqi government was using.

I didnt say Iraq was great back then, oh well.

Yes I am a Western guy that may be ignorant about a lot. I just said that the West was supposed to "help" Iraq and after years of war, they left the country in pieces and now there is a infamous group, ISIS, among others, massacring. I visited the Kurdish region of Iraq not so long ago, and none of the people I met there, ever had the guts to visit the rest of Iraq outside of the Kurdish region. So what s-----y help did the West give after all? The Taliban thing follows basically the same structure that is followed by many other armed groups in the Middle East or South America, funded by the US for their own benefits.

ISIS has has been present in Iraq and Syria for over a decade, ISIS is not a new phenomenon. The rise of ISIS would've happened with or without USA. Sectarianism of the Iraqi and Syrian government is what fueled the rise of ISIS.

Kurdistan is on the path to independence and this wouldn't have happened without the west. The Ba'athist Iraqi regime were massacring, torturing, gassing and oppressing Kurds until the west stepped in. Shi'a muslims were being killed and dumped in mass graves, they were being discriminated against as well. The west has done an excellent job in making Iraq a better place in the long run.

The Iraqi government did what ISIS did, just not in the open. In fact, there's quite a few high ranking Ba'athist officers in ISIS, ex-Iraqi government politicians.

I agree with many things you said now, even though I guess we differ in many others.

By the way, is that a YPG flag on your pic? Are you kurdish?

Sometimes I think we should take from the punishments other countries have and use them in the U.S. We are losing our citizens, I feel we need harsher punishments.
