Mar 30, 2015 To make Randy look good and get him into the title picture. If Seth won that match, nothing is gained as he would be the champion by the end of the night anyway. This way both guys benefit. Besides, Seth is supposed to be a crafty heel. Not exactly supposed to look all that strong or believable as a wrestler. What story? As a one on one match it was extremely short before it turned into complete fan-service for people who watched during the Attitude era, and by the end it was nothing more than Vince and HHH taking another s--- on WCW. You listen to the commentary? JBL was putting WCW down every ten seconds. It was cool to see the entrances, HBK, and Sting in the WWE, but I don't see how the match is anything more than decent, from a storytelling or technical perspective. What should have been an epic match was nothing more than a nostalgia trip.
Mar 30, 2015 1-couldnt give 14 s----s about the faggotary that is the commentary ... and i am 100% happy about the fan service...the match told a very satsifying story about the old nwo vs dx story...i am very happy with it 2- crafty heel are not supposed to be WORLD champs..so f---ing disgusting...after we went through s--- like swagger and miz..i was happy to finally have a real world champ...i would take roman over rollins
Mar 30, 2015 1.) Well okay, fair enough. I was barely alive when the Monday Night Wars were going on so that s--- really doesn't do anything for me. All I saw were a bunch of old men 10-20 years past their prime making fools of themselves. Only person who looked like they belonged out there was HHH. 2.) Don't really know what to say here. Roman becoming champ would have been universally received as a terrible idea in the future, just like it has been received as a terrible idea for the last few months. Crafty heels have been winning championships since I was a kid. We just don't have the luxury of having two titles with a face having one so it balances out like we have in the past.

Mar 30, 2015 The nwo is overrated man. I don't really remember the group years ago but maybe my opinion would change. I actually had to cringe a bit seeing how old they looked coming to stings rescue lol Aren't they suppose to hate sting anyways? That HBK kick though... That was great and he stole the whole match. Maybe that's a sign Hbk is making a comeback. I definitely agree with you on Rollins shouldn't have won the title. Especially after losing a match just matches before. Brock looked amazing in that match and earned to keep the title. I find Rollins a bit annoying tbh and he isn't that talented of a wrestler. Still a better outcome than Reigns winning though.
Mar 30, 2015 Edge sporadically when he was with Lita and Hawkins/Ryder. Think he was with Lita 05-08 and Hawkins/Ryder for a few years after that. HHH with evolution. Like I said, Rollins even rolls with two backup dudes like Edge did. And when he does win against other prominent wrestlers, it isn't going to be clean. He's filling the role of that type of heel who's always going to be in the business. I don't see Rollins (unless we're talking career achievements/who's more over) as being any different in terms of being believable than who Edge, JBL, and HHH have all been at different points in the last decade. Guaranteed we look back at this in a few years and view Rollins next few reigns as being similar to the reigns of those that I mentioned.
Mar 30, 2015 Yeah I said to my mates that I wanted HHH to win as he was the man when I was growing up and Sting was before my time. I wasn't too impressed in how he was coming across with that speech to the fans tho just before The Rock came back out. Seems like he's turned into a real douche, but I suppose it will all be for the storyline. Again I was glad Taker won and I have only seen that Bray Wyatt guy a couple of times, I can't believe how big and popular he is. The guy is a f---ing weirdo if you ask me, that crab s--- he started doing was terrible lol. I'm definitely gonna give tonights Raw a watch tho.
Mar 30, 2015 I got into wrestling at the beginning of the Monday night wars and thought exactly the same thing. The match didn't tell a story at all - it was just another forced Wrestlemania Moment(TM) trying to capitalize on a confrontation WWE fans fantasized about seeing 17 or 18 years ago. They all looked so old it was embarrassing to watch. Nostalgia trips lose their power when you already expect them to be half the show, every single year.
