    Herb, Kodak, and Paak are generationally talented artists. Herb actually seems out of place because his inclusion is so overdue.

    Denzel isn't really my thing but he can really rap. Dave East isn't either but he's a respectable hometown pick.

    Yachty, Uzi, and Desiigner were inevitable. I find it hard to hate on the picks, even if none of the three make a great record in their careers. 21 Savage will probably seem like a silly pick three years from now.

    Lil Dicky is a dumpster fire who should be blackballed from the industry.

    List overall is fine, but feels less...diverse than in years past?

    From what I've heard, which may or may not be true, he was contacted by XXL and was heavily considered for it. I know that doesn't come as a surprise either. Apparently he pushed them away and kind of thought of himself as 'above' the list or something. I mean, I can't really fault him there tho. He does have a platinum album.

    Can we stop pretending like Lil Yachty is so great? Uzi is cool too I like Luv is Rage but nothing makes them particularly good rappers or to be grouped in with rappers like Herb and Kodak.
