    It’s Drake’s best project and there are some legendary songs on here, but I’m gonna say nay. It runs too long, which makes it kind of a chore to listen to front to back. Could be a yay if he’d trimmed it a little.

    And I’m not really the biggest Drake fan either. This and SFG are really the only projects of his that I revisit. Features were great (shoutout Wayne and 3K). Great use of samples as well (shoutout Jon B and ESG). Definitely a classic in my book, and his only classic at that.

    Disagree. What about IYRTITL? Arguably his best album and kickstarted the boy as we know him. Not to mention every. Single. Song. Is good

    thug was pushing a style into unprecedented spaces. fetty wasn’t. this isn’t a criticism—i like fetty’s singles well enough—but he wasn’t ahead of his time. he was a moderately talented dude who filled a space that had been empty since ja rule.

    i’m actually more interested in cardi as a rapper—she’s exceptionally regional, full of personality without seeming affected, consistently funny without being corny. i think you could argue nicki is more *skilled* the way kane is more skilled than guru but i’m not sure she’s a better rapper or makes more rewarding music.

    i find a lot of nicki’s dna interesting, and there’s a 12-15 song playlist i could make of nicki songs i love, but i think she’s made puzzling and downright bad creative decisions and is at this point now where she’s just a ham. it’s like she internalized the worst tics of fab, or even eminem. by contrast i am at worst indifferent to and frequently really into whatever cardi does.

    It's a yay from me. Would take Invasion of Privacy over any of Nikki's projects. Nikki's capable of good verses but she's never been able to translate that into a front to back good album imo.

    I've always thought Swagga Like Us got way too much hate. It was dope. Forever is garbage. Shoulda been a Drake solo tbh.
