Maybe The Weeknd bit, but I feel like NWTS was more influential.

NWTS contributed more to the rap scene in Toronto esp with Know Yourself. Drake got more in tune with his city esp as well, as he wasn’t f---ing with Toronto as much in terms of sound until that point imo

I think I'll always view Take Care with rose-tinted glasses because of the time in my life when it dropped, so I'm never sure how objective I can be lol. But I say Yay.

The Weeknd, Drake, and 40 really began to tap into that broody Toronto atmosphere that got refined further on NWTS and IYRT. In terms of his hour+ records, it's really the only one that fully justifies its run time. More Life I give more leniency because of its radio mix like format, but there's some chunks I'd shave off there for sure.

It’s Drake’s best project and there are some legendary songs on here, but I’m gonna say nay. It runs too long, which makes it kind of a chore to listen to front to back. Could be a yay if he’d trimmed it a little.

    Strong yay.

It took a while after So Far Gone dropped for me to get on board with Drake - at first I was just disappointed Wayne's big protege was so blatantly poppy and sappy but begrudgingly found myself enjoying it more and more over time. TML was such a huge disappointment that I still havent returned to lol. But Take Care took me back to the SFG Drizzy. 40 and co built the perfect atmosphere, the features were all outrageously good. And undeniably one of the most influential albums of the decade.

@Grimace mention me in the next edition!

Yeah it's his last good album, but I don't put it on the same level as TC and NWTS.

This is drakes only classic to me. Have the vinyl hanging up on my wall. Back when Drake was an enjoyable artist to me before he was too big and too calculated

Definitely Yay! Album feels really personal and a lot of emotion was put into it, something that Drake's recent music lacks. At least back then he didn't just try to make soulless hits for every demographic of his listenership and call it an album. Plus Take Care has many classic songs so it's pretty clear to me.
